Section 11
Step #5. I will not give in to temptation
There is no temptation on a raw food island, but our real life is full of temptation.
Let's clearly define what the word temptation means. What is the difference between temptation and desire? Temptation involves desire plus something else, but what? When you have a desire to eat a cucumber or pet a puppy, we don't expect anything bad to come of it, do we? We don't call it temptation, we call it desire. So when do we call a desire a "temptation"? We call a temptation something we know will bring us harm. It will eventually lead to either pain, or death, or some other problem. Sounds awful, then why do we give in to temptation? Because it promises us, though not for a long time, pleasure. How long does that pleasure last? A few moments.
So, temptation is the desire for something that promises us short-term pleasure, and carries an inevitable payoff in the end. We anticipate the pleasure that comes quickly. This pleasure is so dear to us that we give in to temptation.

Step #6. I will find my own support. Step #7. I will find new activities and hobbies.
Find a "raw food friend". Try to find at least one friend, such as a friend from your job or a family member, with whom you can prepare a raw meal together and socialize every day. This step may not seem so important to you, and also difficult to accomplish.
Based on my years of experience and observations of hundreds of people trying to transition to a raw diet, I believe that this individualized support is essential, especially in the first two months. I think it's impossible to become a raw foodist without support. On the other hand, when you have support, it is not difficult to stay on the raw diet.

Step #8. I put my life completely in the hands of my Higher Self.
When our thoughts and actions are governed by the materialistic self, we seek pleasure everywhere and in everything. We become addicted to pleasure. Therefore, to be free from addiction, we must make every effort to hear the voice of our true "spiritual self." How do we do this? There are several ways. None of them guarantees a complete spiritual awakening. But at least you will get in touch with your "true self".

Step #9. I absolutely must get to the real reasons and honestly and fearlessly examine why I seek comfort and pleasure in cooked foods.
We have carefully parsed all opinions and found that the real reason we seek comfort in food is to avoid something. When we seek pleasure in cooked food, we are trying to escape loneliness, idleness, low self-esteem, anger, fear, and other negative emotions. We escape into the things that give us pleasure. When we clearly see the real reason why we seek comfort, we can begin to work on our problems and their resolution instead of stuffing them with food.

Step #10. I will let my intuition help me
If we trusted our intuition, we would rely on our body. Then we would realize that our body never makes mistakes. Our body is constantly trying to communicate with us through certain sensations. When our body lets us know it's cold, we put on a sweater. When our body needs rest, we feel tired. When the body demands water, we feel thirsty. When the body is full of toxins, we have a decreased appetite, which means the body requires water fasting. We usually ignore most of our body's requests. We don't rest when we feel tired, we don't take off our high-heeled shoes when our feet hurt and we don't stop eating even when we are full. That's why we get sick.

Step #11. Clarity will help me to be happy
Clarity is a very rare quality. There is surprisingly little written about clarity. Clarity is a state of mind in which we perceive life events as they are, without distortion. Very often our knowledge prevents us from achieving true clarity. Here are some examples of popular knowledge, some of which may be familiar to you, reader: "Cow's milk is healthy", "Vaccinations are useful and necessary for children", "It is impossible to grow crops without pesticides", "Cancer cannot be cured by unconventional methods", "It is necessary to finish everything that is put on the plate", etc. You realize, of course, that such knowledge only confuses people and greatly harms those who believe in it.

Step #12. I will provide support for other raw foodists. Recipes (part 1). Our family favorite green juice. Borscht. He-chicken noodles.
Think back to your first visit to a raw food lunch. Please remember how important the variety of delicious food was to you then? Now it is your turn to support others. Even if you eat very simply at home, try to do something elaborate for the raw food lunch, don't bring bunches of greens or a plate of fruit. Spend the time and extra money, and by doing so you will be supporting new raw foodists.
