Step #12. I will provide support for other raw foodists. Recipes (part 1). Our family favorite green juice. Borscht. He-chicken noodles.
Please think back to the first person who told you about raw food for the first time in your life? Who was your first raw food teacher? Remember them with gratitude. What was special about these people? Why did you trust them? Did they show consideration and patience with you? Did they share delicious raw foods with you? Imagine what your life would be like if you had never met these people? Now that you've finished learning the 12 Steps, you've probably stayed on the raw food diet yourself. So it's time for you too, with patience and attention, to help other aspiring raw foodists.
Is there anything that brings more joy than helping those who are looking for a path to health? The best support you can give to others is, first and foremost, to be an example of health yourself!
Think back to your first visit to a raw food lunch. Please remember how important the variety of delicious food was to you back then? Now it is your turn to support others. Even if you eat very simply at home, try to do something elaborate for a raw food meal, don't bring bunches of greens or a plate of fruit. Spend the time and extra money, and by doing so, you'll be supporting raw food newbies.
I believe that each of us is a great teacher. Like every teacher, we have followers. Who do you think your students will be? Those who suffer from pain? Your family members who have been diagnosed with a terminal illness? From my own experience, no. Help those who directly ask you about raw foodism. Become their "raw food friend." Those who want to learn more about raw foodism literally have no one else to rely on. Spend time with them explaining and listening, cooking meals together, going to restaurants, and letting them read your books. At the same time, it will also be the best support for you.
As a raw foodist, how many people do you think you can influence by your example? Think about all the people you meet throughout the day. All your neighbors, relatives, co-workers, and just anyone who sees you buying and eating raw food. Think of the cashier at your local grocery store who sees you buying a heavy bag of carrots and asks: "Do you have a horse?" And you answer her with a smile: "No. The Juicer" When your children say to the teacher at school: "In our family we eat salads every day," aren't they influencing the teacher himself?
What would have happened if I hadn't stayed on the raw food diet? What would have happened to all my students? Many of my former students are already teaching raw food classes themselves.
One never knows when he or she might touch another person's soul. How many people will you be able to impact in your lifetime? I think ultimately, the whole planet.
