Aconite (wrestler). Properties of aconite and its use in phytotherapy

Aconite is another great example of how a poisonous plant can also have powerful healing powers. By the way, this property well reflects the native Russian name of aconite - wrestler. Interest in the plant dates back to antiquity; its medicinal properties were first discovered by healers in mysterious Tibet.

As in any other cases of using poisonous plants for treatment, before talking about the healing properties of aconite, it is necessary to know about the dangers of its use. Not without reason medical periodicals abound with clinical descriptions of cases of poisoning. The aconite plant is poisonous - but, as with hemlock, that's probably what makes it a potent healing agent.

Aconite contains three alkaloids with different properties.

Only knowledge of the possible reactions of the body to the chemical composition of aconite makes it possible to achieve results in treatment. Also, not every variety of this plant is suitable for treatment, and there are at least three.

The aconite plant has these varieties:

.

- yellow borer;

- red borer;

- borer variegated.

It is the latter type that is used for medicinal purposes. Thus, knowledge of the botanical characteristics of different species of Aconite is also necessary. Finally, aconite alkaloids are characterized by high absorption from the skin surface, so external treatments should be given with the same precautions as internal administration.

The most common use of aconite plant is in folk medicine to relieve pain, but the range of its medicinal effects is rarely wide.

The various remedies based on aconite are used:

- as an antidote, and also in toxicosis;

- as an antiemetic agent;

- with hepatitis;

- in acute inflammation of intestinal mucosa (colitis, enteritis);

- in sepsis;

- in infectious diseases (including upper respiratory tract).

The scope of application of aconite has now been further expanded to include:

- oncologic diseases;

- chronic diseases of internal organs at the stage of decompensation;

- autoimmune and systemic diseases with damage to internal organs;

- immune suppression.

Speaking of aconite, it is impossible not to mention the important place it occupies among homeopathic remedies.

The beginning of the use of aconite in homeopathy dates back to 1805 and is directly connected with the name of the founder of the method - C. Hahnemann. Aconite plant is one of the most commonly used remedies in homeopathy, without which it is often impossible to do without. All indications for the use of aconite in homeopathy are based on the main principle: treat similar things with similar things. Therefore, aconite is used for almost any infection in the acute period.

As already mentioned, the main indication for the use of aconite in the people considered pain in the muscles, bones and joints. But its anti-inflammatory, styptic, antibacterial properties were also valued. Feverish conditions (of various origins) are considered another indication. This is particularly characteristic of the traditional medicine of the peoples of southern Asia. Well helps plant aconite and neuritis, accompanied by severe pain.

Of the medicinal forms based on aconite, the most common are its tincture in vodka and oil extracts - in the form of ointments or therapeutic oils.

Finally, and most importantly: aconite is one of the powerful non-medicinal remedies from the arsenal of alternative oncology, the effectiveness of which is clinically proven and beyond doubt. Particularly important is the effect of aconite to inhibit the spread of metastases.
