Treat respiratory diseases: flu, bronchitis. Preparation of medicines from medicinal plants

Flu

.

First of all, about what not everyone knows: influenza is not a bacterial, but a viral infection, and it cannot be treated with antibiotics or sulfonamide drugs (they simply will not be effective here and may even cause harm). These drugs can be prescribed by a doctor only when the flu is complicated by a bacterial infection (for example, pyelonephritis, pneumonia). Due to the fact that we are plagued by influenza epidemics almost every year, influenza should be distinguished from other respiratory colds.

Is it the flu or just a cold? Such questions are often faced by those who fall ill. First of all, because prevention and treatment measures for a particular infection (viral or bacterial) are often significantly different. In addition, there are a number of clinical differences between influenza and similar acute respiratory illnesses.

So how do you distinguish a cold with upper respiratory catarrhal disease (URCD) of a bacterial nature from an acute respiratory viral illness (ARVI), most notably influenza?

Catarrhs (and we are talking, first of all, about inflammation of bacterial nature of the mucous membrane of any respiratory organ, for example, nose, throat). The disease here usually begins with inflammatory changes in the nasopharynx without general pronounced symptoms (temperature reaction, marked malaise, chills, etc.).), while viral infections, and primarily influenza, manifest themselves, as a rule, chills, body aches, fever (often up to 38 ° C and above) on the day of the disease. And these basic symptoms should be known in order to choose the right treatment from the very first day of the disease.
The following prescriptions are used in the treatment of influenza.

Eucalyptus. Prepares a therapeutic tincture for influenza: 20 g of dry crushed leaves pour 100 ml of alcohol. Cover tightly and insist for 10 days. Strain and squeeze. Take 20 drops 3 times a day. Therapeutic tincture from the flu can alleviate the symptoms of the disease and give new strength.

Prepare an herbal collection for flu:

Elderflower - 1 part;

chamomile flowers - 1 part;

lime blossom - 1 part;

peppermint leaf - 1 part.

Mix it all up. 1 tablespoon of raw materials brew a glass of boiling water, insist 1 hour. Strain and take 2-3 cups daily while hot. Herbal collection from the flu has not only therapeutic effect, but also tonic.
Horse Chestnut. Prepare a decoction: 5 g of crushed fruit shells pour 200 ml of boiling water, boil for 15 minutes. Take in warm 1/4 cup 3 times a day as an antipyretic.

Acacia white. Prepare an infusion of flu: 1 teaspoon of flowers for 250 ml of boiling water. Let stand for 30 minutes, strain. Take 1 tablespoon 3 times a day (the medicine acts as an expectorant and as a mild laxative). The flu infusion will help flush toxins out of the body.

Orange is sweet. Prepares a medicinal tincture for influenza: 20 g of fruit peel on 50 ml of alcohol, insist for 20 days. Strain and take 10 drops diluted in water 4-6 times a day.

The common pear. Prepare a decoction: 100 g of dry pears for 500 ml of water. Boil for 10-15 minutes, infuse for 2 hours, strain. Take 100 ml 4 times a day on an empty stomach (the recipe is especially effective with a pronounced fever and a strong cough).

Black silkworm. Prepare an infusion from influenza: 2 tablespoons of chopped fruits for 250 ml of boiling water. Let stand 4 hours, strain. Take 50 ml 4 times a day before meals (the remedy acts as a diaphoretic). This flu infusion will flush out toxins through the skin.

Bronchitis

.

Bronchitis is an inflammation of the bronchi. It can be acute and chronic. In acute bronchitis, patients complain of malaise, a feeling of tightness in the chest, a feeling of tickling along the course of the bronchi. The temperature may rise to 37-38 °C. A dry, agonizing cough appears. Bronchitis has an unpleasant and constant symptom - runny nose.

Bronchitis can be chronic. The main complaints are coughing with the secretion of a fairly large amount of sputum, shortness of breath, general weakness.

Bronchitis is treated with the following prescriptions.

Birch. In spring, it is very useful to drink fresh birch juice or maple tree juice with milk, especially in acute bronchitis.
Lipa. Prepare an infusion of bronchitis from linden inflorescences: 3 tablespoons of dried raw materials pour a glass of boiling water, heat on a boiling water bath for 15 minutes, stirring. Cool, strain, top up with boiled water to a full cup. Take it hot 1/2 cup 3 times a day.

Eucalyptus. Prepare a tincture: 10 g of dry leaves on 200 ml of 70% alcohol or vodka, insist 14 days, in a closed container, strain. Take 25 drops 3 times a day.

Tangerine. Prepare a decoction: 2 tablespoons of dry peel of the fruit on 300 ml of water boiled for 5 minutes, insist 2 hours, strain. Take 100 ml 3 times a day 30 minutes before meals as an expectorant.

Lemon. Wash in cold water 150 g of horseradish root, pass through a meat grinder. Add the juice of 2 lemons. Mix well and place in the refrigerator. Take 1 teaspoon in the morning once a day until condition improves.

Bronchitis is treated with the collection. Prepare the collection:

Althea root - 1 part;

liquorice root - 1 part;

anise fruit - 1 part;

sage leaf - 1 part;

thyme grass - 1 part.

Brew 2 tablespoons of the mixture with 3 cups of boiling water. Let stand 1 hour, strain. Take 1/3 cup 3-4 times a day.
Kettle inhaler for bronchitis. This is the so-called dry inhalation, which is good for bronchitis and other inflammatory diseases of the respiratory system.

To prepare a therapeutic inhaler kettle for bronchitis. You will need a small teapot, a scrap of cotton gauze 50x50 cm, a meat grinder or grater and any phytoncides, such as pine needles, cedar, poplar buds, eucalyptus.

Crush the raw material (for example, 50 g) and immediately, before the phytoncides have volatilized, smear the prepared remedy over the entire surface of the gauze. Quickly drop into an empty, cold but clean and dry kettle and cover with a lid. Take the spout of the teapot in your mouth. Clamp your nostrils with your fingers and slowly inhale the phytoncidal aroma for 3-10 minutes. Exhale through your nose so that the released air does not get into the kettle.

You will soon see the high efficiency of this uncomplicated procedure. Medicinal inhaler kettle for bronchitis is very effective. The effect is achieved because cotton gauze is chosen as the phytoncide-containing substance. It is essentially a net with tufted filaments that has a huge surface area of phytoncides. The air passes through it almost unimpeded, and the kettle is nothing but a reservoir to keep the phytoncides from dissipating.

For repeated inhalations, use a new (or soap-washed and dried) flap of gauze and a fresh portion of phytoncide porridge. Naturally, the kettle must be clean and dry every time. Kettle inhaler for bronchitis also has a tonic effect, calms the nervous system and gives vigor..
