Treatment of ENT infections (tracheitis, pharyngitis) with folk recipes

Tracheitis

.

Tracheitis is an inflammation of the mucous membrane of the respiratory canal-the trachea. The disease occurs, as a rule, with hypothermia, some infectious diseases (influenza, whooping cough, measles, etc.).). Predisposing factors to the occurrence of tracheitis can be diseases of the heart and lungs, and in children - trachitis, exudative diathesis. Tracheitis is more common during the spring and fall seasons. A distinction is made between acute tracheitis and chronic tracheitis.

Acute tracheitis is rarely isolated. It more often occurs in combination with acute rhinitis and laryngitis. The most common reason for the development of the disease is viral infection. Inhalation of dry, supercooled or dusty air, toxic vapors, gases contributes to this. In children, provoking factors may be, as already mentioned, exudative-catarrhal diathesis, dystrophy, as well as unfavorable sanitary and hygienic conditions. On detailed examination, the doctor sees in acute tracheitis swelling, redness (hyperemia) of the mucous membrane of the organ.

As a rule, the clinical picture of the disease tracheitis in the acute form manifests itself following the development of acute inflammation of the higher parts of the upper respiratory tract.
Tracheitis has the most characteristic signs: the beginning of a runny nose, which is soon joined by a dry cough at night, but especially in the morning. Coughing starts with an attack when taking a deep breath, laughing, crying, at a change in ambient temperature. During and after a coughing attack, there is a feeling of soreness, perspiration in the throat, in the pharyngeal region behind the sternum, as a result of which patients try to limit breathing movements. In such cases, especially in young children, breathing becomes shallow and rapid. Instead of the normal 16-18 respiratory movements in 1 minute here the number of them can reach 25 or more exhalations.

Even a small accumulation of phlegm in the bifurcation (branching) area of the trachea causes another bout of severe whooping cough. The voice (tracheitis most often occurs along with laryngitis) may be hoarse.

The general condition of patients with acute tracheitis remains usually satisfactory. The temperature is at the upper limit of normal in most cases. Sometimes there is a headache, a feeling of brokenness, a rise in temperature to 37.3-37.5 ° C. But in children, it can also rise to 39 ° C. Sputum at the beginning of the disease is separated with difficulty and in small quantities, has a viscous, mucous character.. But gradually, starting from the 3-4th day, it becomes already mucous-purulent, more abundant and begins to separate more easily. Coughing pains also become less intense, and after 1-2 weeks, the disease usually ends with recovery.
