Treat respiratory diseases with medicinal plants: pneumonia (inflammation of the lungs), pleuritis

Pneumonia (inflammation of the lungs)

The beginning of acute pneumonia in both adults and children is characterized by an increase in temperature to 38-39 ° C, the appearance of severe chills, fever, cough, at first dry, then with the release of sputum, which sometimes has a rusty color due to the admixture of blood. There may be flank pain that increases with inhalation. Breathing is usually shallow, rapid and accompanied by a feeling of shortness of breath. Pneumonia (acute) must be treated in a timely manner, otherwise it turns into chronic pneumonia.

Chronic pneumonia runs undulating and is characterized by periods of quiescence of the inflammatory process and its exacerbation. In the period of exacerbation, the clinical manifestations of the disease have much in common with acute pneumonia (cough with sputum, dyspnea, chest pain, quite high temperature). Chronic pneumonia, unlike acute pneumonia, subsides more slowly and full recovery does not occur in most cases.

Pneumonia is treated with the following prescriptions.

Fir. It is used 2 times a day for inhalation. Take 20 drops of oil per 200 ml of water.

Eucalyptus. Prepare an infusion against pneumonia: a tablespoon of crushed dry leaves pour 500 ml of boiling water. Drink the infusion hot 100 ml before meals 3-4 times a day. Or use eucalyptus leaves for inhalation (take 2 teaspoons of raw material per 100 ml of water).

Pine. Prepare an infusion against pneumonia: 1 tablespoon of buds pour a glass of boiling water, tightly cover with a lid and insist 2 hours, strain. Take 1- 2 tablespoons 3-4 times a day as an expectorant and diaphoretic.

White silkworm (black). Prepare an infusion against pneumonia: 1 tablespoon of crushed leaves pour a glass of boiling water, insist for 2 hours, strain. Take in warm 1/4 cup 4 times a day as an antipyretic.

Homegrown apple tree. Prepare tea: 5-6 raw fresh apples cut and cook in 1 liter of water for 10-15 minutes, insist 2-4 hours. Take warm as a tea, 1/2 to 1 cup several times a day.

Lipa. Prepare an infusion against pneumonia: 2-3 tablespoons of linden inflorescences for 2 cups of boiling water. Let stand 1 hour, strain. Take 1/2 cup 3-4 times a day.

Walnuts. Take 250 g of nuts, 250 g of apricot kernels and 500 g of honey.

Roast apricot kernels, add 500 ml of water and boil for 1 hour. Then pour in the chopped walnut kernels and boil until all the water boils out. Add honey and cook for 5 minutes over low heat. Take a dessert spoonful 3 times a day. The course of treatment is 20 days. The medicine reduces shortness of breath, manifestations of chronic cough.

Pleurisy

.

Pleurisy is an inflammation of the lining of the lung (pleura). The disease can be "dry" and "wet" (effusion). The latter is usually characteristic of pulmonary tuberculosis.

Dry pleurisy begins acutely and is accompanied by an increase in temperature to 39 ° C, the appearance of sharp stabbing pain in the side, cough and shortness of breath. Because of the pain, breathing becomes involuntarily shallow. An agonizing cough may occur. Dry pleurisy "forces" patients, as a rule, to lie on the sick side, because otherwise the chest wall is more in contact with the lungs and the pain increases.

The following medicines are recommended for pleurisy (primarily dry pleurisy).

Laurel noble. Grind a powdered mixture of bay leaf (6 parts) and juniper needles (1 part) with fresh butter (12 parts). Use the resulting ointment for pleurisy to rub into the painful part of the chest.

Spruce (cedar). Prepare ointment for pleurisy: 1 weight part each of coniferous resin and yellow wax. Melt, cool, nag pieces of the mixture on glowing coals and inhale the smoke released. This ointment can also be used for rubbing.

Pine. Prepare ointment for pleurisy: 1 tablespoon of turpentine mixed with one tablespoon of sunflower oil. Rub into the sore half of the chest.

Lipa. Poultices: 3-4 tablespoons of dry crushed leaves scalded with boiling water, wrapped in gauze, used as painkillers and anti-inflammatory poultices.

Prepare the collection: elderberry flowers - 1 part; fennel herb - 1 part; linden flowers - 2 parts; violet herb - 2 parts.
1 tablespoon of the mixture pour 2 cups of water, bring to a boil, insist 2 hours. Strain and take 1/3 cup 3-4 times a day.

Resin oleoresin (taken from trees of any coniferous species). If the resin is thick, it should be infused with 96% alcohol. Put the resin in a bowl and pour alcohol so that it covers the oleoresin by 1-2 cm. After 3-4 days, the resin will dissolve. 1 part of the resin is mixed with 2 parts of pork internal fat and re-melted. Remove from the fire, cool down to about 60 ° C and add linden honey (1 part of tar and lard should be 1 part of honey by weight). Stir. To the resulting composition add burnt pet bones and mix. Take 1 teaspoon 3 times a day.

Walnuts. Prepare an infusion: 3 teaspoons of walnut pericarp per 500 ml of boiling water (daily dose). Infuse for 2 hours, strain. Take warm for several meals during the day as a tonic..
