Wild medicinal plants of Donbass. Avranus medicinalis, Adonis spring.

Auranus medicinalis (Gratiola officinalis L.)

graziola, grace, ukr.: drislavec. The plant is poisonous, prescribed by a doctor.

Perennial of the norichnose family. Stems 15 60 cm tall, erect or branched, reddish below. It blooms in June through August (Tab. 27). Occurs on wet sandy places, in gullies, ditches and flood meadows in Slavyansk and Krasnolimansk districts of Donetsk region, in Novoaidarsk and Stanichno-Lugansk districts of Luhansk region.

The herb, less often the rhizome, is used. The plant contains flavonoids, glycosides, alkaloids, saponins, resinous substances. The herb is included in M. mixtura. Н. Zdrenko, recommended for papillomatosis of the bladder, anacid gastritis and peptic ulcer disease.

Auran medicinal is used in folk medicine in small doses internally as a cardiac, diuretic, choleretic, anthelmintic (in infestation with ascarids and dwarf chainworm) and strong laxative, and also for liver disease, spleen, intestinal atony and chronic skin diseases (internally and externally) - persistent skin itching, scabies, trophic ulcers, eczema, scabies, old ulcers, scabies, persistent skin rashes and gout. In Bulgaria, it is recommended herb powder 0.14-0.3 g 3 times a day or infusion of 2 tsp. л. in a glass of boiling water is the daily dose. A hot infusion of the herb is considered a potent laxative. Avranus medicinalis has been studied experimentally in animals.

Prof. S. А. Tomilin in 1949. wrote that auran medicinal acts on the heart similar to foxglove and has a strong laxative effect, which makes it indispensable in heart disease with heart failure, with abdominal dropsy - ascites. However, to prescribe preparations of auran as a cardiac remedy is more appropriate with mucilaginous decoctions to avoid an irritating effect on the stomach and intestines (in an infusion of 2 g of herb per 150 g of water, add 50 g of starch mucilage). For chronic skin diseases, the author recommends powder of the herb 200 mg (0.2 g) 3 times a day before meals.

Other doctors recommend 10% tincture of the herb 20-30 drops per reception, decoction of 2-7 g of root in 300 g of water - 1 tbsp. a spoonful per appointment as a laxative.

Н. И. Solomchenko at the Department of Pharmacology, Donetsk Medical Institute with the help of experiments on animals established that 20% infusion and extract of auran herb has a pronounced effect on the heart, somewhat weaker than foxglove, but does not cumulate. He also noted the beneficial effect in patients with heart disease, complicated by ascites, infusion of 5-7 g of grass (3-4 h. л.) to a glass of boiling water, 1-2 tbsp. spoonfuls 2-3 times a day or every other day. At the same time in 9 patients in 10-12 hours after taking the infusion there were watery defecations, as a result of which ascites disappeared for a period of up to 4-8 months. In some patients diarrhea was accompanied by abdominal pain, because of which the infusion had to be administered every other day or canceled.

As an external remedy - compresses from the infusion or ointment from the juice of the plant mixed with fat in equal amounts.

Adonis vernalis (Adonis vernalis L.)

Ukr.: goritsvit, chornogorka, starodubka. The plant, poisonous, is prescribed by a doctor.

Perennial from the buttercup family. It blooms simultaneously with the appearance of leaves in April - May (Table. 1). In Donbas it is rare, occurs on hillsides on calcareous soils (Slavyansky, Volodarsky, Belolutsk, Belovodsky, Kreminsky and Markovsky districts). It needs to be introduced into industrial culture, which has not yet succeeded. It can be propagated by rhizomes and seeds. Freshly harvested mature seeds are sown in a seedling in June - July at a depth of 1.5-2 cm, on a permanent place planted in the 3-4th year of vegetation. Rhizomes are cut lengthwise into pieces according to the number of large buds and planted in September or early spring in moist soil. Adonis crops are subject to meticulous care and irrigation.

In Donetsk, some amateur flower growers get good sprouts of goricetto by self-seeding, but on good and moist soil.

Н. И. Solomchenko at the Department of Pharmacology, Donetsk Medical Institute in experiments on animals found that the biological activity (valor) adonis Volga 2 times weaker than adonis spring. If necessary, it can be used medicinally in the appropriate dosage.

Prepare adonis herb from the beginning of flowering to fall of fruit (April - June). At the same time, it should be cut with a knife by 5-10 cm. from the ground, above the brown scales covering the buds of renewal, leaving part of the plants especially with seeds for breeding. Plants should not be ripped out from the root, as its supply will quickly run out.

All parts of the plant contain cardiac glycosides (cymarin, K-strophanthin-B, adonitoxin), saponins. Adonis has been introduced into medicine from folk medicine since 1875. by doctor N. А. Bubnov in the clinic of the eminent Russian therapist S. Bubnov. П. Botkin. Since then, it has gained popularity as a cardiac, diuretic and sedative (calming) remedy for heart defects, cardiosclerosis, bazedema and pulmonary emphysema with chronic circulatory insufficiency, as well as for neuroses, epilepsy, cardiac neuroses and vegeto-vascular dystonias.

Adonis preparations may cause nausea and diarrhea in some patients. Therefore, they are not recommended for patients with gastritis, peptic ulcer disease and enterocolitis. Most often used adonis in the form of infusion of 5-10 g of herb in 250 ml of water 1 tbsp. a spoonful several times a day before meals. Prof. A. С. Voronov for prolonged treatment prescribed an infusion of 3-4 g (2 tsp. spoonfuls) in 250 ml of boiling water - dose for 1 day.

Н. И. Solomchenko noted positive results in the majority of 38 patients after treatment with 4-5% infusion. The highest dose of herb according to the State Pharmacopoeia (based on dry herb) for adults: single - 1 g, daily - 5 g (previously was 10 g).

From adonis are obtained preparations: adoniside in ampoules and tablets, dragee adonis-bromine, Bechterev's mixture, cordiazide, cardiovalen and others.

Д. Yordanov recommends a hot infusion of 2 tbsp. spoonfuls of herbs in 250 ml of boiling water - 15 ml 2-3 times a day. Д. Pamukov recommends an infusion of 1 tbsp. spoonfuls of herbs in 300 ml of boiling water - 50 ml 3 times a day before meals.

You can treat gorizvetom patients and at home, but it should be done only by appointment and under the supervision of a doctor..
