If you start listening to your intuition, after a while you will find that your outlook changes. Many of your strongest beliefs will suddenly seem false. A lot of your hard old opinions will lose all meaning. And it won't scare you, either.к. your knowledge will be replaced by clarity. Clarity is the greatest gift one can receive.
When we don't have clarity, we try to acquire knowledge. Knowledge can never replace clarity, though. I used to believe that "Knowledge is power." Now I realize that knowledge isn't even information. Knowledge is people's interpretation of information. An explanation of a phenomenon is not information. Someone else's explanation is bound to bring distortion to any information. We can say simplistically that knowledge is someone else's opinion about an event. When we say about some person that he knows a lot, it means that this person has learned by heart a lot of other people's opinions. Do you think that such a person is capable of making any decisions in his/her life on his/her own? Unfortunately, we rarely realize that a lot of unnecessary knowledge prevents us from acquiring what we really need - clarity. Clarity is a very rare quality. There is surprisingly little written about clarity. Clarity is a state of mind in which we perceive life events as they are, without distortion. Very often our knowledge prevents us from attaining true clarity. Here are a few examples of popular knowledge, some of which may be familiar to you, reader: "Cow's milk is useful", "Vaccinations are useful and necessary for children", "It is impossible to grow crops without pesticides", "Cancer cannot be cured by unconventional methods", "It is necessary to finish everything that is put on the plate" and so on. д. You realize, of course, that such knowledge only confuses people and greatly harms those who believe in it.
Very often we confuse clarity of mind with clear explanation. For example, if I memorized the book "Human Anatomy" by heart and could clearly explain everything that is written in this book, it would not mean at all that it is clear to me how the human body works, but I would only know how this book explains the work of these or those organs. For example, Anatomy, published in 1910. argued that the human liver has two functions. "Anatomy" published in 1932. described already 12 functions of the liver, "Anatomy" published in 1998. tells you about 40 functions. This is just one small example. We have a lot of knowledge and not enough clarity. When we can't see the difference between the two, we prefer to have knowledge instead of clarity. We gain clarity when we begin to follow our intuition.
I want to tell you how I first realized how much more important clarity is than any knowledge. Sometime ten years ago I started getting very sick and went to the doctors because I KNEW they KNEW a lot. I followed their advice and I got worse and worse. Finally, my primary care physician told me that medicine KNEW that my disease was incurable and that I would most likely die soon. Then in desperation I started trying different alternative approaches and finally switched to raw food. Literally from the first few days of being on the raw diet I could clearly FEEL my body starting to revitalize. I now have a LACK of clarity about how my body works. Now I follow my intuition, I act in harmony with nature, not against it. I am blessed that I can clearly see the perfect harmony of the universe.
Clarity allows us to see the spiritual essence of human beings. Clarity allows us to feel oneness with all living beings. Clarity allows us to experience true happiness. When we are truly happy, we don't seek pleasure. Only unlucky people focus on pleasure. Happiness is part of the natural law. To achieve greater clarity, try revisiting a lot of things you believe in.
We've all been programmed from childhood. This means that we have established opinions on everything, which forces us to live by past standards. To rethink and disband your old beliefs is to live in the present tense, to see your life as it is in each moment. For example, when you live near a beautiful mountain, at first you admire the view every minute. After two months, you no longer notice the beautiful mountain and never even think of it. You're used to it and you just know it's there. Visitors immediately pay attention to the mountain and admire it because this beautiful mountain creates a new experience for them, it has not yet become an opinion, a habit. We, too, can begin to notice the mountain again if we learn to live in the present moment, not the past or the future. Then we will always take in the view of the mountain with fresh eyes.
In order to rid ourselves of our own shaping, it is very helpful to try to see ourselves as much as possible as habitual, established judgments that we tend to never question and that seem to have always been with us. I hope the talk below, recorded at one of my lectures, is helpful to you.
Victoria: Please share with us instances where you have noticed a habitual judgment in yourself that goes against common sense or truth and managed to get rid of it. I'll go first. I have a lot of habits. For example, I used to be convinced that I was obligated to eat everything on my plate even if I was full, t.к. children in Africa are starving.
Linda: I used to believe that if I didn't get good grades in school, then I was bad.
Kelly: I thought I was supposed to smile and please everyone.
Jim: I tried to be like everyone else, not stand out.
Laura: I was programmed to be busy all the time.
Mary: I used to try to keep apart from other people, not share anything, not smile or be happy a lot.
Sharon: I was programmed to keep the house in perfect order.
Simon: I had a habit of always being angry.
Donna: I used to think men were higher beings than women.
Val: I thought I was fat, ugly and stupid.
Marlene: For a long time I thought I was poor, unimpressive, that I would never have extra money and couldn't afford anything but the necessities.
Shannon: I thought I was better than everyone else, t.к. I come from a wealthy family.
Sam: I was a slave to work, I didn't even take vacations.
Molly: It was important to me to dress nicely, to be thought of well.
Chris: I tried to please everybody because I thought I wasn't worth anything without it.
Victoria: Thank you for your candor! You've noticed how many common habitual misconceptions we share. These habits, like chains, keep us from being free. Identifying such misconceptions will be of great benefit to all..
