Joint diseases.Rheumatoid polyarthritis and gouty polyarthritis - treatment with folk recipes and medicinal collections

There are dozens of joint diseases. The most common of these are rheumatic polyarthritis, rheumatoid (infection-nonspecific) arthritis, gouty arthritis, and several other joint diseases.

Rheumatoid polyarthritis (infection-nonspecific)

The most common pathology of joint disease is rheumatoid polyarthritis. It is a chronic progressive inflammatory joint disease (Fig.25). Rheumatoid polyarthritis affects people in their most working years, usually between the ages of 20 and 30. The reasons for the development of this pathology are still insufficiently studied. The trigger of the disease is usually some focus of infection in the body (in the tonsils, sinuses, teeth, gallbladder, etc.). д.).

Unless vigorous courses of treatment are pursued, rheumatoid polyarthritis progresses steadily. At the acute onset of the disease, the patient's temperature rises sharply, there is severe pain and swelling of certain joints. But much more often there is a subacute course of the disease, in the initial period of body temperature is elevated to subfebrile digits (37.5-38 ° C), swelling and soreness of the joints are not too pronounced. But in both cases, the inflammatory phenomena progresses, spreading to other joints. Soon after onset, rheumatoid polyarthritis forms so-called rheumatoid nodules on extensor surfaces and in the thickness of soft tissues. The joints become tight, immobile.

When the joints of the fingers of the hand become inflamed, the sore hand looks more like the fin of a walrus. Rheumatoid polyarthritis must be treated in a timely manner, otherwise, after a few years, the articular cartilage is destroyed, the gaps between them are reduced, the joint surfaces look disfigured, the edges of the joints become uneven, they begin to grow so-called "bone tendrils".

The following folk remedies are used in rheumatoid polyarthritis.

Birchwood (ancient recipe). Take 700 g of fresh, unpasteurized and unsalted butter and put it in a clay pot along with birch buds. Layer an inch and a half thick layer of oil with an equal layer of buds until the pot is full. Then close the pot with a lid, cover it around with dough and put it in a well heated Russian oven for twenty-four hours. After 24 hours, squeeze the oil from the kidneys and put in it 7-8 grams of camphor, ground into powder. Store the ointment in a cool place tightly closed. Rub the ointment on all sore places at least once a day (in the evening, before going to bed).

An old-fashioned recipe. Sew bags that follow the shape of the legs and the torso part up to the waist. Stuff them with birch leaves. In the evening, before going to bed, the legs of the patient should be inserted into these bags so that a fairly thick layer of leaves encircles them on all sides. Your feet will sweat a lot, like in a steam bath. If the feet become too wet, the leaves should be changed at midnight. A few sessions and you will feel much better. This recipe can also be used with success in rheumatic and other types of arthritis.

Horse Chestnut. Prepared tincture for polyarthritis: 50 g of flowers or crushed chestnut seeds in 500 ml of vodka insist 14 days, strain. Take 30-40 drops 4 times a day. The best tincture from polyarthritis is used for rubbing the diseased joints.

Aspen. Prepare an infusion: 1 teaspoon of buds on 250 ml of boiling water insist 1 hour, strain. Take 50-100 ml 2-3 times a day (to increase diuresis in polyarthritis).

Cherry. Prepares a tincture for polyarthritis: 2 tablespoons of bark on 200 ml of vodka, insist 3 weeks, strain. Used tincture of polyarthritis externally for rubbing of diseased joints.

Podagritic polyarthritis

Gout in Greek means "foot snare", or rheumatic pain in the feet (although this disease does not refer to rheumatism per se).

Gout has its basis (Fig.26). It is based on an increase in the level of uric acid in the blood, in connection with which the joints are clinically affected in the first place, most often the legs, but in some cases the hands. Gout is characterized by gouty attacks. The picture of such an attack is very characteristic. Suddenly, more often at night, acute arthritis develops, affecting most often the joints of the feet, especially the first toes (usually on one side - right or left). The pain is often intolerable.

Gout is aggravated by even the smallest movements in the affected joint.

There is marked swelling of tissues and redness of the skin over the joint, acquiring later a lilac color. Usually the pain subsides somewhat by morning, but increases again by the next night. Subsequently, their intensity is markedly reduced, and in 2-3 weeks they disappear completely. But gout is characterized by periodic exacerbations.

A gouty attack may be accompanied by fever, chills, sweating, agitation, palpitations, and increased blood pressure.

Podagra is treated with the following effective prescriptions.

May lilacs. Prepares a tincture for gout. Its flowers, without priminaya, pour into a 0.5-liter bottle to the top, pour alcohol and insist for 21 days in a dark place. Take 30 drops 3 times a day before meals. The same tincture is suitable for rubbing affected areas and for compresses.

Homegrown apple tree. Apple fruit prevents the formation of uric acid in the body, so it is used for all diseases associated with the accumulation and formation of uric acid in the body. Useful tincture for gout, infusions and decoctions of apples. Apple cider vinegar is also useful for gout.

Lemon. Take 4 lemons and 3 heads of garlic, run through a meat grinder (seedless lemons), pour the whole mass with 7 cups of boiling water, stir and let infuse for 24 hours. Strain and take 50 g 1 time a day before meals.

Pine. Mix 1 tablespoon of turpentine (recall that it comes from pine trees) with 1 tablespoon of sunflower oil. Rub on sore spots.

Prepare the ointment: take 700 g of fresh, unpasteurized and unsalted butter and put it in a clay pot together with birch buds. Then close the pot with a lid, cover it around with dough and put it in a well heated Russian oven for twenty-four hours. After 24 hours squeeze the oil from the kidneys and put in it 7-8 g of camphor, ground into powder. Store the ointment in a cool place tightly closed. Rub the ointment on all sore places at least once a day (in the evening, before going to bed).

Prepare the collection: take 1 kg of birch bark and aspen, 100 g of oak bark. Prepare a strong broth by boiling it down by 1/3. Take 1/2 cup 3 times a day. At first the pain will get worse, then it will get much better. Treatment should be carried out for 1.5-2 months.
